Finder Options

In recent versions of the Finder, there are quite a few hidden features. Finder Options, which is a control panel, enables those features. You need at least System 7.1 Pro, preferably System 7.5, and System 7.5.3 is recommended. Finder Options works fully under System 7.5.5, too.

Finder Options also allows you to control certain other things about the Finder. You need System 7.5 for this. All this is done without any trap patches, so Finder Options will not slow your Mac down.

However, if you have OS 8, you do not need this control panel since OS8 has these features built in.
